1. Video– You Tube is the 2nd largest search engine on the planet! But it isn’t the only video resource out there. Any way you look at it, YOU MUST ADD VIDEO CONTENT TO YOUR BLOG! In a recent survey, nearly 75% of homeowners polled said they would use a real estate broker BECAUSE they used and implemented video in their marketing! Sadly, surveys of real estate brokers show that only about 10% actually have a YouTube account or use video to market themselves or their listings.
2. Sphere– Using a member of your preferred vendors list or sphere of influence to add a weekly post not only buys you time but also adds more interesting information to your blog site. Inspectors, Appraisers, Lenders and also your Escrow Officer can add some fantastic content.
3. Sharing– Reposting an article can create a number of very good things for your blog. It not only gives your viewers some different perspective from another blog but will create reciprocity where those same bloggers may repost your content allowing you to increase your virtual “footprint”
4. Community Awareness– Certainly there are plenty of note worthy people and places in your neighborhood or community you can write about. Add an article about news events, holiday festivities or even local garage sales…whatever you community is about!
5. Groups– Joining a group on facebook or LinkedIn offers a ton of opportunity to talk with and about blog worthy ideas.
6. Polls— Likely one of the more fun and engaging ways to ask your readers what they’re thinking is to add a poll to your blog. Create a weekly Q&A Poll or have some fun with it by asking who will win the World Series or Super Bowl just before the season starts.
7. Yep…You Gotta Write Too!– You knew this was coming! What I would suggest here is to subscribe to blogs and news outlets online so that you get a daily flow of information right to your inbox. Many of my articles come from information I assimilated and then wrote about for my readers to enjoy. ALWAYS BE YOURSELF WHEN YOU WRITE!
